Summary

Briefly about Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso manga:  Pianist Kosei Arima dominated the competition and became known among child musicians as a prodigy. But after his mother, who was also his instructor, passed away, he suffered a mental breakdown during a recital resulting in him being unable to hear the sound of his piano even though his hearing was perfectly fine. Two years later, Kosei hasn’t touched the piano and views the world in monotone, and without any flair or color. He was content at living out his life with friends Tsubaki and Watari until violinist Kaori Miyazono entered his world. Miyazono helps Kosei return to music by showing him that being free and mold breaking is more important than being structured and rigid. This story won the Kodansha Manga Award for Shounen in 2013.
